Hydropower and dam engineering

Engineering support for hydropower schemes, dams and associated hydraulic structures—from assessing the scheme to resolving construction interfaces.

Understand the scheme before fixing the design

Hydropower development brings together the catchment, river behaviour, terrain and the arrangement of hydraulic and generating structures. Early decisions about the scheme influence the investigations, structures and construction sequence that follow.

EBS's documented assignments include the Okshtuni cascade, Moglica and Banja hydropower developments, and feasibility work for water-supply and irrigation dams in Kosovo. Our role varies by project: the case studies distinguish feasibility, tender or detailed design, permitting, supervision and commissioning.

Scope shaped around the project

  • Feasibility and comparison of scheme arrangements
  • Design of dams, intakes, conveyance and associated hydraulic works
  • Coordination of survey and investigation information
  • Tender and detailed design documentation
  • Technical support linked to permitting and construction

What to send us

Share the catchment and site location, proposed capacity or reservoir purpose, available hydrological records and the development stage. Existing designs, survey models and investigation reports help define which engineering questions need to be resolved first.
